Equans Data Centers has been chosen by Colt Data Centre Services (Colt DCS) as a strategic general contractor partner to build and commission its latest data centre – PAR2 in Paris, France. This milestone project will introduce advanced liquid cooling technology on an unprecedented scale in Europe, reinforcing Colt DCS and Equans Data Centers’ commitment to innovation, efficiency, and sustainability in the data centre industry.
Located in Villebon, within a prime data centre hub in the Paris region, the 40MW PAR2 facility will be built on a brownfield site, setting new standards in energy efficiency and operational performance.
Equans Data Centers’ integrated delivery approach ensures seamless execution, from early-stage specialist mechanical and electrical engineering design to full-scale construction, including the grid substation, internal data hall fit-out, critical infrastructure installation, and a rigorous five-stage commissioning process. The result: a high-performance, resilient, and scalable facility that meets the stringent requirements of Colt DCS while adhering to the highest quality and safety standards.

The project will be delivered in two phases, with initial construction commencing in early 2025. The first phase, delivering 20MW of the IT capacity. Throughout the project, Equans Data Centres will work in close collaboration with Bouygues Bâtiment Industrie, a group company that will oversee the construction aspect of the development.
